What is a Salesian?
It is a very serious thing to call oneself a Salesian; a son or daughter of Don Bosco. It presupposes an intense and passionate love for the young and a preferential option for the poor. If you call yourself Salesian, you must be so to the core so that a young person can meet you and always leave changed for the better, even if the encounter was nothing more than a smile. To change the world through a loving presence which points to the Face of Christ the Good Shepherd… that is our mandate and work.
